Proverb for the Day

"Do not let your heart envy sinners,
But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day;
For surely there is a hereafter,
And your hope will not be cut off."
--Proverbs 23:17-18

I think this proverb offers much wisdom. We shouldn't be jealous of what other people have. It may seem that they have great riches and wealth here on this earth, but we should be striving to have great riches and wealth in heaven (the hereafter). Our hope will not be cut off. We should be preparing for our eternal life instead of worrying about keeping up with the Joneses or not being satisfied with what God has provided for us. We aren't all going to have great wealth here on this earth, but we can all have great wealth in heaven if we live for God and His glory!
