Never Too Many Flowers

In light of New York's disappointing decision to legalize abortion up to birth, I want to remind us of what Mother Teresa said once:

Testimony Tuesday

My husband and I have seen God provide for us time and time again. I am not sure why we still never let us down.
sometimes worry and fret because He has

I want to share with you a recent example of His provision.

We did were not expecting to purchase a vehicle anytime soon as all of our vehicles were running and we have been striving to get out of debt so we were just planning on making due with what we had. Our oldest daughter already had a car and even our second oldest found a car and has it running and she doesn't even have a license yet.

Anyway, my husband called me just over a week ago and told me he had purchased a vehicle! To say I was shocked is an understatement! When I asked why, he told me, "The price was right and I had the cash to pay for it." He even admitted he wasn't sure why God would provide this vehicle and such a great price, but He did. The vehicle needed some work, but we figured with just a few hundred dollars, it would be running and we had a few ideas of who might use it.

Well, come to find out, the fix was MUCH easier and MUCH cheaper than even he suspected. He had it up and running over the weekend. We plated it and insured it and figured it would save him money to drive that back and forth to work and it would leave me with the vehicle he had been driving for my errands so I didn't have to drive our bus (which doesn't has very good fuel economy). Well, God then showed us the reason for his provision! The vehicle that I was now driving broke down. Had he still been driving that back and forth to work, he would have been without a vehicle and would have had to drive the bus every day.

Granted, he can fix the vehicle, but while we are waiting for the parts to arrive and the time to fix it, he still has something to drive to work and I am just back to driving the bus.

I think that sometimes people don't think about things like this being a provision because it was provided before the need arose, but that is exactly what it is!

Has God provided for a need for you? I would love for you to share your provision testimony; it would be an encouragement to others to see God's great love for His children.

The Wisdom of God, Part 3

Another way in which man thinks his wisdom has improved God's design is the light bulb. Now, I'm not saying the light bulb itself is bad, but what it has allowed us to do is to stay up past daylight and/or get up before it is morning and in many cases work during this time. Many current studies show that people do not get enough rest and this plays a major role in that.

"Thou makest darkness. . . The sun ariseth . . .Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until evening" (Psalm 104:20-23). God created a timetable for us to work-when the sun is up. If we truly would follow His ways in regards to work, then we would get the required rest our bodies need.

I will say tht this is a hard one to follow myself having grown up in a world that thinks working more produces more, which has to be better. However, I have found that if I go to bed closer to when the sun goes down and sleep until morning, I feel much better and do not feel the need for a nap in the afternoon, I don't drag my feet while doing work, and I actually accomplish more during the day.

I also remember a time where I was getting up early to exercise and I found myself not losing any weight. My doctor (naturopath) told me that if my body is not getting enough rest, then it will see exercise as stress and hold onto weight for "survival". I thought she was crazy for telling me the way to lose weight was to sleep more, but I gave it a try and you know what?! It worked! I started losing 1-2 lbs a week when I got the proper rest.

The Sabbath day is a day of rest as well and often people ignore that too. God tells us that the Sabbath day wasn't created only for man to worship Him, but to rest. Again, studies show that people are more productive when they have a day of rest.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 30:25
The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;

I know that many times there is nothing I can do about a situation; however, this verse shows me that I can do something. This encourages me that even when money is tight, there is a way to feed my family if I work hard enough.

I find it interesting that this is what was in line for today's Words of Wisdom Wednesday. I often write these thoughts down long before they are published. What is interesting is that I read two quotations today that I wanted to share with you (and was planning to do later this week), and they kind of go along with these thoughts so I will share them now.

We grow through our struggles. Things might not be easy, but that doesn't mean we give up. Things might not be easy, but that doesn't mean we need a hand out. We might be in need of a hand up, but not a hand out.

Testimony Tuesday

This is my mother. She started taking Plexus TriPlex a few months ago. Last month she added XFactor Plus.

Before starting the XFactor Plus, she would often take both ibuprofen and Tylenol for pain in addition to arnica (a homeopathic). She would rotate what she took to manage the pain she would feel in her knee. After only a few days of taking XFactor Plus, she realized that she hadn't taken any pain meds that day and continued to not need them! How great is that?! Not only is she pain free, but she is adding many beneficial nutrients!

Would you like to know more about XFactor Plus? Contact me as I would love to share more information with you!

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 29:1
He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

This verse stood out to me as great parenting advice. In fact, this has been proven by scientific research. If all we do is put down or point out the flaws of our children, bitterness will harden their hearts and we won't like the outcome. We must make sure we also tell our children how precious they are to us, and (more importantly) to God. We need to mention how they are a blessing as well as thank them for their help.

Testimony Tuesday

I was a little late getting our family pictures ordered for our wall. The new photos arrived last week and my girls were switching them out and commented about how I have lost weight. I was a little confused, but looked at the photos side by side.

I could not believe the difference in my face! What is even more amazing is that I am actually about 10 lbs heavier in the 2018 photo due to being only one month post partum!

I have been told I had inflammation in my body for years, but I assumed that meant in my joints. I started taking Plexus Triplex in May of 2018 and then added in Ease (which is for inflammation) just a month prior to this picture. I can't believe the results!

I have lots of ways that Plexus has helped me feel and look better. I plan on sharing my testimonies as well as testimonies of others. I hope to do it every week, but bear with me if I miss a week. If you are using Plexus and wouldn't mind me sharing your testimony, please message me!

My Word for 2019

For the past few years, I have had a word that I have focused on for the year. Last year my word was content. The year before that, it was serve.  A few years ago, my word was transformed. Well, this year, I am returning to transformed.
.
I really struggled with returning to a word that I have focused on before. I felt God calling me to transform, but I kept saying, "But I already did that!" God just kept putting that word and Romans 12:2 in front of me. I just couldn't escape the fact that I needed to focus on transformed again.

So, in 2019, I am going to focus on transformed. I desire to transform my thinking to be more like Christ. I desire to transform my body into a healthier me. I desire to transform my own desires to be those that God has for me. I desire to transform into someone who cares more about what God thinks than what those around me think. I desire to transform into someone who loves as Christ loved.

I also created a coloring page to color and hang on my wall as a reminder of this verse. Feel free to download and use this yourself if you choose.

Just right click and choose "save image as". If you would
like a pdf version, just send me a message and I'll send it to you!
Do you focus on a word and/or verse for the year? If so, I would love for you to share your word for 2019 in the comments below!
