School Planning

As I have mentioned before, I am pretty much set with our schooling for this year. We plan on starting September 17th. One of the things I had been putting off was creating our schedule for the day. It is usually one of the most stressful things to try to figure out who will practice piano when, the individual lessons for the younger children, who will cook meals on what nights, etc. so I just kept procrastinating. Well, I knew with us starting in two weeks and the baby possibly deciding to arrive before then that I shouldn't put it off any longer.

So, earlier this week I poured myself a glass of Plexus Slim and sat at my computer and got to work. I am surprised at how quickly I was able to work out all the details. What normally takes me an hour to start with and then a week of revamping, I had done in about an hour. I did have two of my older girls look over it to see if I had missed something or made any mistakes, and I had made a few small mistakes, but those took less than 15 minutes to figure out and fix.

The interesting thing is that I did this in the afternoon. For as long as I can remember (for at least the past 20 years), afternoons have always been the hardest for me to accomplish anything. I usually hit the wall around 2:30 in the afternoon and need to take a nap (and by nap, I mean at least an hour nap). I used to figure if I don't get it done before lunch, it wouldn't get done because after lunch I just slow down. I didn't sit down (which means I had been busy until then) until about 3:00 in the afternoon to start working on the schedule and I was alert and could think clearly. Even after finishing the schedule, I worked on some laundry, picked up around the house, and helped get dinner ready.

I attribute this change to my body healing and to the natural energy that comes from the natural ingredients. I never had the sustained energy I now experience from drinking a cup (or two) of coffee! I'm sure my family appreciates how much more I am able to accomplish in a day. One would think that a mother of soon to be 13 would be experiencing more and more tiredness, not more and more energy. I am so thankful God led me to Plexus to help me with the ministry of motherhood to which He has called me.

For those who are interested in what we do for schooling, here is a brief explanation. We use the Robinson Curriculum as the base for our education. I have taken the Robinson book list and adapted it for our needs. Some of the books I replaced with books on the same topic that we already owned. I also added some books that I feel are important for my children to read. We also do not follow Saxon math all the way through as so far my girls aren't planning on college, but rather would like to own their own businesses or hope their future husbands own their own businesses. Instead of the higher level Saxon math, we have them do a year of personal finance (using Dave Ramsey's Financial Foundations) and then a year of business math (Rod & Staff's Recordkeeping). We also always do a separate Bible class, but we have not decided for sure what we are doing for this year. I am waiting for my husband to make the final call on a particular study. If he hasn't decided by the time we start school, I have a few options of short studies we can do until he decides.

I kept my oldest (who graduated this past summer) on the schedule for this year as she will be helping around the house and possibly with some of the schooling when she isn't working outside the home. I decided not to add the baby on the schedule because the baby will just be eating and sleeping most of the day and we'll just work that in our schedules (that and I'm running out of space if I want to keep it all on one page!).

If you have any questions about Plexus or our schooling, please feel free to ask!

Wisdom

What is the purpose of education?

I am pretty much ready for us to start our school year, but I still have to decide on a Bible curriculum and finalize details on a few other things. We plan on starting mid-September (unless the baby decides to make it's entrance then) so I have a few more weeks yet. The beauty of homeschooling is the flexibility to adjust our schedule and since the older girls are still working and we are busy with canning, freezing, etc., we decided to give ourselves some time before delving into formal schoolwork (because learning to preserve food and run a home is learning!). As I have been working on the new school year, I have been pondering a few things.

"For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it." ~ Proverbs 8:11
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." ~ Proverbs 9:10
"For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." ~Proverbs 2:6
"For whoso findeth me [wisdom] findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD." ~Proverbs 8:35

I need to keep these verses in mind as I finish planning the school year.

A relationship with Christ is much more important than high grades. I ned to focus on discipleship more than academics. This was made even more apparent to me as we graduated our oldest this past summer. I am so proud of her growth in Christ much more than her academic growth. She is much more ready for the real world due to her relationship with Christ than she would have been with more worldly knowledge and no relationship.

Words of Wisdom Wednesdays

Proverbs 22:7
The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

I was raised that debt was normal. I didn't see how enslaving it was until after we had our first child and I wanted to become a stay-at-home mother. We couldn't do what God was calling me to do because of payments. It wasn't until a few years later that I was able to quit my job and even then we had some pretty hard times. We couldn't give to others the way our hearts desired either. Even now, we would love to do more for God's kingdom, but my husband is tied down to a job that makes X amount so we can pay our house payments. We are striving to get the house paid off early so we are free for God to use us as He wills.

Family Minded

I have been thinking about not posting sermons on my blog anymore (they would still be found at our church's facebook page), but then my husband preached on Titus 2 and I knew I had to share at least one more sermon here.

Sunday Psalm

Psalms 63:1-11 KJV
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Reducing Inflammation

I am so excited to try a new Plexus product! I have been told for years that I have inflammation and have tried different herbs to help with it, but I am still dealing with it so I must be missing something. I hope that Ease is the missing puzzle piece since I've heard such good things from others that take it.

Ease Capsules are one of Plexus' most beneficial products. Their original intended purpose was for relief from pain and discomfort, but the benefits are vast & far beyond just pain relief. #ease

EVERYONE needs to take Ease. Even #pregnant mamas! Why? Because it's an anti inflammatory and we are all walking around with #inflammation! Life is stressful, we don't always eat well, and whether you're active or inactive you're joints, tissues and cells are under constant stress. It all causes inflammation! If you're body is overly inflamed (like most everyone is) it's makes it harder to heal, sleep, and lose weight. Also aids in helping through die off or detox process. Ease has also been known to help with breathing issues, asthma, and sinus problems.

In the United States, osteoarthritis affects more than 30 million people. This condition causes joint pain, impaired mobility drastically reduced quality of life. Symptoms are conventionally treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs). These drugs are cheap and common, but have many side effects & can cause damage to the organs. Ease Capsules are a natural alternative to NSAIDS.

Ease contains four amazing active ingredients. 👐👏👊
📌New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel (otherwise known as ETArol) is a powerful anti inflammatory that also provides benefits for the cardiovascular system, skin and hair, immune system, and wound healing.
Somebody finally noticed that the Māori people, who settled in New Zealand around 1300 BC, never suffer from arthritis or other aches and pains. A large part of their diet is made up of the green-lipped mussels and other seafood.
📌Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory & antioxidant that increases heart and brain health and has also been shown to help treat depression. It has amazing pain relief benefits as well.
Here is a great article on the benefits of Turmeric: http://articles.mercola.com/…/curcumin-turmeric-benefits.as…
📌 Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme that has been used to treat a wide range of health problems ranging from ACL tears, joint and bone pain, asthma to autoimmune diseases and IBS. It is so good for gut related issues and soothes and relaxes tense muscles and tissues.
📌 Serrapeptase is also used as a replacement for NSAIDs and often used to treat traumatic injuries like sprains. Serrapeptase can help with...
-Plaquing of the arterial walls (atherosclerosis)
-Fibrocystic breasts
-Uterine fibroid tumors
-Scarring after injury
-Scarring after surgery
-Cystic Fibrosis; affecting the exocrine glands of the lungs, liver, pancreas, and intestines.
-Blood clots; due to the fibrin in blood
-Ulcerative Colitis
-Crohn’s Disease
-Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
-Multiple Sclerosis
-Rheumatoid Arthritis
-Psoriasis
-Allergies
-Cancer
Serrapeptase is an effective enzyme against inflammation in all forms. In other words, inflammation of the joints, the digestive system as well as other organs.

As you can see, these ingredients are second to none & the COMBINATION of the 4 ingredients is what makes them so powerful!

Returning to God's Call

Nehemiah 10:1-39 KJV
1 Now those that sealed were, Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, the son of Hachaliah, and Zidkijah, 2 Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, 3 Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah, 4 Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch, 5 Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah, 6 Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch, 7 Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin, 8 Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah: these were the priests. 9 And the Levites: both Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel; 10 And their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan, 11 Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah, 12 Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah, 13 Hodijah, Bani, Beninu. 14 The chief of the people; Parosh, Pahathmoab, Elam, Zatthu, Bani, 15 Bunni, Azgad, Bebai, 16 Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin, 17 Ater, Hizkijah, Azzur, 18 Hodijah, Hashum, Bezai, 19 Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai, 20 Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir, 21 Meshezabeel, Zadok, Jaddua, 22 Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah, 23 Hoshea, Hananiah, Hashub, 24 Hallohesh, Pileha, Shobek, 25 Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah, 26 And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan, 27 Malluch, Harim, Baanah. 28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; 29 They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; 30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: 31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. 32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; 33 For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. 34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law: 35 And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD: 36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God: 37 And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage. 38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. 39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

Now that the Israelites have been reminded of God's Word and have confessed and repented for their sins, they make a covenant (promise) with God on how they will handle things. They call judgement on themselves if they fail to do as they are promising. They are pretty specific in how this covenant looks.

They use the laws and guidelines they just read and studied to determine their behavior. They make sure they are providing for the temple and the Levites who run the temple. They promise to keep the Sabbath holy.

What do you do when you read in God's Word about something He calls Christians to do? Do you make an oath with God to follow through and do it as well? I know that often I think, "I should be doing that." but then don't follow through or only follow through halfheartedly. The Israelites were serious about returning to how God called them to live. Can you imagine the impact it would have on our nation if all Christians would return to living how God calls us to live?

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 21:20
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

Here we learn the wisdom that comes from saving and preparing for the future. Only a foolish person would spend all they have. What does this say about Americans? We have the lowest savings in all the world. We are in debt up past our eye balls. We need to make wise decisions and start saving.

Marriage Moment Monday

Luke 6:42
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Sunday Psalms

Psalms 13:1-6, KJV
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David

1 How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

How Much Would You Pay to Feel Better?

During my year of research on Plexus, I had many people tell me that it costs less than a price of a cup of coffee from a coffee shop a day. Well, I don't go to the coffee shop every day (or even once a week) so this wasn't telling me anything about how I could really afford it.

What I have seen is that by taking just the TriPlex, we have cut down on the other herbs and supplements we had been taking, but feel much better! The biggest difference I've seen is in my husband (who is only taking the BioCleanse and the ProBio5) who has cut his herb intake by more than half! That right there is a savings of more than it costs for him to take the supplements.

How much would you pay to feel better? What if it would actually help you not only feel better, but save money because you will be able to stop other supplements/herbs/medications that you are taking now?

If you would like to know more, please ask!

Recounting God's Faithfulness

Nehemiah 9:4-38 KJV
4 Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God. 5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. 6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. 7 Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham; 8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous: 9 And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea; 10 And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day. 11 And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters. 12 Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go. 13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: 14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant: 15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. 16 But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments, 17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not. 18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations; 19 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go. 20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst. 21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. 22 Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan. 23 Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it. 24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would. 25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness. 26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations. 27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. 28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies; 29 And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear. 30 Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands. 31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. 32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day. 33 Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly: 34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them. 35 For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works. 36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it: 37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress. 38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.

I think an important thing to notice about the Israelites' prayer is not only did they remember all that God had done for them, but they praised Him for it. They realized that although He was judging their wrong behavior, He still showed mercy, grace, and forgiveness. He never left them-even in the midst of judgement.

They admit that they are still in a state of judgement because they are still in bondage to those God put in authority over them. They are now turning to God, admitting their sin, and asking Him not to forsake them now.

All the recounting of God's faithfulness gives them hope that God won't leave them now. This is why it is so important for us to remember and recount all God has done for us-it gives us hope!

Do you keep record of God's provisions and faithfulness? Do you share stories with your children and others about what God has done for you? If you don't, you should. Maybe keep a journal which records God's blessings so you and future generations can be reminded of God's great love towards you.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 20:5
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.

The Bible mentions numerous times the importance of seeking counsel. There is strength in asking advice from godly people. Unfortunately, many times our pride gets in the way of asking or we just don't want to take the time to ask. That is just foolishness! We must remember that wisdom can come from asking others for help. We must take the time and make the effort to seek advice.

Marriage Moment Monday

Psalms 103:8
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

We are always to look to our Lord for examples on how to live. We should strive to make God's character our own as much as it is possible for us. Here we see an example of not only how to treat others, but, in my opinion, our spouse.

We should be showing our spouse lots of grace and mercy. We should be slow to get angry with our spouse. These are some first steps to help our marriage relationship and show God's love to our spouse.

Think about your actions in regards to your spouse lately. Have they been full of mercy and grace? Have you been slow to anger? If not, then pray and ask God to help you make the changes you need.

Sunday Psalms

Psalms 143:1-12 KJV
A Psalm of David

1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

7 Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

9 Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11 Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

A Life Changed

I have shared about my own Plexus journey since I started a couple of months ago. I have many friends who have been enjoying and sharing their own Plexus journeys for a few years. In the beginning, I just watched, read, and listened to how Plexus was changing their lives. My friend, Sally, was one of the first people I saw experiencing benefits from Plexus. She is the one who kept telling me about how Plexus could help me. She is the one who continued to share her enthusiasm for products that have changed so many lives. She is the one who didn't give up on me, but didn't push me either. She was there to answer questions when I had them and waited for me to come to the conclusion that I was ready to make a change.

Two days ago, Sally shared her testimony again after enjoying Plexus for three years. The change is amazing and I just had to share with you. Yes, you can see changes immediately (like I have), but if you continue with the products, your body will continue to heal and you will see even greater benefits. Don't give up!

Here is Sally's story:

Three years
Three years ago today, August 8, 2015, I said yes.
Yes to what I hoped would give me freedom from many health issues. 🙏🏻I remember spending many moments in prayer that this was the answer.
Well, It was.
And little did I know that it would also be the answer to so much more for our little family.....
Back then, I didn’t realize how much my body was deficient in nutrients, and I didn’t realize the importance of gut health. After years of struggling with anxiety from some pretty major life occurrences, I wasn’t able to sleep, had constant head discomfort, severe fatigue, sugar crashes, Auto immune issues, digestive issues......you name it. Mentally, I was down. I had lost sight of who I was, or was supposed to be. Each day I went through the motions, and that’s it.
What is my purpose here?
After many consults, tests, tears, meds, I was beginning to give up hope. I was introduced to Plexus products and prayed they worked, but didn’t have much hope.
What are vitamins gonna do anyway?
What I didn’t expect was to be quickly enveloped by a community of people just like me, who could relate, who could love, pray, encourage and share. I started hearing their stories about how these products were changing their lives. How their health issues were being helped.
I started believing. I had a team of people around me, supporting me, working with me, loving me every single day.
Slowly, my health began to take a turn for the better. I started sleeping better, (like no more tossing and turning, but deep restful sleep) less head discomfort, more energy, less yucky tummy....

This photo - it’s crazy to me. You’d never guess I weigh a little more now today than I did in the before picture almost 3 years ago.
I was 7 months into my Plexus journey in that first photo. (I was in Guatemala visiting our church family.💕) The other photo was taken last month, almost 3 years later. If you get your insides healthy, and your mind, it shows. Puffiness - gone. It isn’t about losing weight either. I didn’t need to lose weight. It’s about total body health. Gut health. From the inside out. And it doesn’t happen quickly. It takes time. And it’s so worth it.
Not only was my health changing, but my attitude was too.
My mental health was changing along with it. About a year in, my husband said to me, “I see a difference in you, you’re more confident.”
In the midst of this crazy journey, I was also beginning to find me.
I started realizing what God’s purpose was for me.
My walk with Him was strengthened. I was finding a new joy and a new meaning. (Sharing God’s good news on this platform is pretty amazing).
I believe we were put on this earth to be a light (Matthew 5:16) and to help one another. I was helped through Plexus, and I knew I could then in turn, help others with it as well. Through helping others, God began quickly blessing our family in other ways- financially, prayer support, new Friends, family trips we never ever could have taken before, self reflection and growth, purpose.
This body, this community that we are part of now, has changed our world. I wish everyone could experience it. I wish everyone could hear the stories I hear, read the testimonies, see the changes in people, hear the passion, share in the joy.
Priceless.
Now, three years later, I can look back and see how God has worked through all of this. Financially, we weren’t ever able to give much. Now, we support and fund a church in Guatemala with my family. (It’s not my money, it’s His). We have a child in college and two children in a private Christian school and there is no stress.
Time freedom is substantial. I can go on that field trip, volunteer at school, head to the beach any day of the week, be home with my kids......
I thank God every day for His care and keeping over me and for His bountiful provisions. These last three years have been an amazing journey. You never know what path God will lead you on. But be open to His leading and He will bless it ten fold!

Remember Who He Is

Nehemiah 9:1-3 KJV
1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them. 2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers. 3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

Here we see how God's Word affects the hearts of those who hear it. They had been deeply affected and grieved by what they heard in God's Word.

They were quite open about their shame. They fasted. They humbled themselves to wear sackcloth and dirt. They separated themselves from those who wouldn't understand. Finally, they confessed, not only their sins, but the sins of their fathers.

They then continued to read and study and when they were convicted of sin, they would confess that sin. They followed the confession with worship to God. They were thankful for His forgiveness and mercy. They were remembering His might, power, and love.

I believe this is a good example to us for when we prepare to hear God's Word. We must humble our hearts to be open to the Holy Spirit's conviction. Then we must confess that sin immediately and praise God for His love, forgiveness, mercy, and grace. We must remember who He is and what He has done for us.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

God has proved this to me over and over again. One time it was sharing canning jars with someone who had more to process from their garden. Not even 24 hours later, I was given three times as many jars as I gave.

Another time it was sharing venison with a family who was out of meat and within a week, someone who was clearing out a freezer so they could go away for the winter, gave us half a freezer full of meat.

You CAN NOT out give God!

Marriage Moment Monday

Last night I watched Fireproof. It has been a while since I watched it, but what stuck with me this time is, "You never leave your partner, especially when in a fire."

When your marriage is struggling, it is under attack from Satan; it is in a fire. That is the time you DON'T leave your partner. That is the time when you need to work your hardest to keep the two of you together. That is when you need to do all you can to save your partner and keep him safe.

I was also struck by how "simple" the Love Dare activities were. They may not have always been easy, but they were simple.

If you have never watched Fireproof, I suggest you find a copy and watch it. If you have seen it before, I suggest watching it again. If you can watch it with your spouse, even better.

Sunday Psalms

Psalms 61:1-8 KJV
To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David.

1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

You Could Say Goodbye, Too

One thing I have come to love about Plexus is how many people it helps, and it helps in so many different ways. You might think that it won't help you with whatever you are dealing with, but I can almost guarantee that if you look, you will find someone else dealing with the same issues.

I recently read a testimony that I wanted to share because it is powerful, but more important than that, it includes some great scientific information on gut health that I found interesting. Yes, I've been studying about gut health for a while, but I know there is much more for me to learn.

Here is Tiffany Wilson's testimony (shared with permission):

It’s time I share a story 📖 and my heart 💗 with y’all ... military spouse and momma of 3 precious babies (another gift on the way 🙌🏻) — I’m thrilled to finally shout it from the rooftops how fabulous, fit, and youthful I feel‼️
Ya see, 3️⃣ years ago ... maybe I didn’t look unhealthy to many, but I felt horrible on the inside. I WAS THAT PERSON! Yep! I lived at the doctor's 👨🏼‍⚕️office — my medicine cabinet looked like a pharmacy, and yet — I STILL NEVER felt well. I knew I had way more health issues than any 20-30 something gal should 😱, but I figured this was just a part of life and “growing older”. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I struggled everyday to take care of my babies and to be the wife and mother I knew my family deserved. I was also on over 🔟+ RX 💊 meds and many OTC drugs DAILY, y'all, DAILY! 😰
So what changed? Truthfully, I finally stopped being stubborn 😆 and decided to give this “so-called” #pinkdrink #momfuel a try that my girlfriend kept raving about — AND then, I began to notice change! 😍 However, I was STILL in denial that #clean #plantbased #vitamins could be responsible for my health victories 👌🏻  🙄 ... but I decided to keep going, dig deeper, and tell a few friends along the way! 👭That's when EVERYTHING changed ...
As I soon found out, MANY of my friends and family were struggling in silence with their own health goals, even thinking they were at their healthiest only to find out — they could have MORE health and financial freedom. 👏🏻
Y’all see — what all my digging revealed was that — even having a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, I realized I was never taught all of the fascinating info I've been learning about gut health in last 3️⃣ years. Did you know — 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive tract, making a healthy gut a major focal point if you want to achieve optimal health. AND your #microbiome (Google that) is home to trillions of super cool microorganisms that help your body perform some of its most basic functions — like keeping your immune system in tip-top shape, digesting the gut-health friendly treats you just snacked on, and balancing your mood. Did someone say mood!?! ⁉️ Yep!!! 🤣😤😃😢😡🤗😁 When your microbiome isn’t up to par, you may experience an imbalance...
NOW, I understand WHY AND HOW I can feel even more amazing in my 30’s than I did in my 20's ‼️ (and, #NO, as I saw ... healthy eating and exercise alone weren’t enough)!!!
THIS is WHY I’m so passionate, and why I share ... because when I see people on different meds (all to counteract the effects of the other 🙈) feeling horrible, sick 😷, lost, hopeless...I can relate. However, when they will NOT try a #NATURAL and extremely healthy #PLANT 🌱-based alternative that I've seen change hundreds of thousands of lives (even thousands on my own team) — well, then my MIND is truly blown, especially when my OB and our PCM, pediatrician, and son’s oncologist 🎗 are all on board for these life-giving products!!! 🙀👌🏻 From being diagnosed with an extremely rare lung tumor at 8 months old to seeing our son THRIVING is a HUGE WIN for this momma! Glory to God everyday for #plants🙏🏻
Oh, and, y’all don’t even need to be on meds and/or sick to start taking care of your body now to prevent sickness! #preventionoverprescription We have tons of health professionals (doctors, nurses, chiropractors, dentists) that are on board, loving their #supplementation, and have even surpassed their previous incomes (we’ve almost QUADRUPLED our family’s income — my hubby is a Black Hawk pilot for the Army, and I had a successful eBay business) all by helping people heal their bodies naturally! 🎊👏🏻 People are so desperate to feel better, yet even if you think trying natural supplementation might not be the "normal" thing to do (yep, that was me) — #NEWSFLASH, last time I checked "normal" isn't working, either (been there, done that 😳).
My new “normal” has given me the opportunity to say ...
👋🏻 Goodbye 🔟+ RX meds & even more over-the-counter 💊💉
👋🏻 Goodbye caffeine ☕️, soda🥤, & energy⚡️drink addiction #formerstarbucksaddict
