Proverbs 15:8
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
God does not desire religious practices or things done to make us look holy. God desires a relationship with us. He wants us to come to Him humbly in prayer. Prayer is a way for us to communicate with Him which shows our desire to know Him. He delights in our desire to spend time with Him.
