Galatians 2:16-17
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. How do we receive salvation? Through faith in Jesus Christ. Nothing we do (outside of accepting His blood for cleansing our sins) can bring salvation. Our works do not justify our salvation or make us "good" ("there is none that doeth good, no, not one"~Romans 3:12).
Just as we are not saved by our works, we do not become sinless when we do accept Christ by faith. At some point (probably every day!), we will do a work that shows we are a sinner. Does that mean that we are not saved by Christ's blood?--NO!
Christ died for everyone--all sinners. He came and shed His blood so all would/could come to Him. He does not desire that anyone should perish.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
