Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

Most people, even Christians, desire to become rich some day. They work lots of hours to make more money and have many things. However, scripture tells us that shouldn't be our goal. I am not saying being rich is bad (because it can be a blessing from obedience to God), but we shouldn't strive for that. We should strive to obtain and keep a good name and loving favor. It should be our goal to be like Christ-that is better than silver or gold.
