Choosing a Hard Life

Hebrews 11:24-27
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Moses chose to follow God over the riches of this world. He chose a life of hard work over a life of ease. He chose justice and freedom over power and prestige.

I pray I always choose God over worldly riches. I pray I choose hard work over the easy way. I pray I choose justice and freedom over power and prestige.

Living as Moses did might not be easy, but it is right. He did live in the wilderness before he experienced the burning bush. Sometimes we need to live in the wilderness before God tells us His plan.
