Proverbs 6:20-21 KJV
20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
How do we "bind" something on our hearts? The only way I can think of is to memorize. Not only memorize, though, but rehearse and study. I imagine "tie them about they neck" as something that is done daily-something to do every day. I also picture being led/guided by pulling a person around by a necktie. Our parents instructions/commandments should guide us through life.
