So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God. ~ Genesis 45:8a
Joseph had every right to be angry with his brothers--they had sold him as a slave and told his father he was dead! However, he realized that through that terrible experience, God used it for good.
When we experience hard times, things that do not seem fair or even terrible accidents, we need to remember that God is still in control and He will use it for good.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28
It may be for our good or it may be for the good of someone else. In either case, we need to have the faith to trust His ultimate plan and know that His ways are best.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. ~ Isaiah 55:8-9
