Luke 9:58
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
If we truly follow Jesus, should we be so concerned with being in the home of our dreams? We should be seeking after God's purposes and not our own desires. If we live modestly, we can do so much more for the kingdom of God. If we don't have to make "X" amount of income to pay our bills, then we would be truly available for God to use us however He deems fit. While desiring a nice home is not sinful, it could restrict us from God using us to the fullest. It may hinder us from saying, "Here am I, send me."
