Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
"walk in love"
How do we walk in love? Well, it goes on to tell us-as Christ walked. He loved us so much that He gave Himself for us. We are to love others and do the same.
We should think of others first.
Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
We should sacrifice our wants for the needs of others, We should help others as they are in need. We should make ourselves available for God to use us as He sees fit, and be ready for Him to use us.
Will this be easy-NO! However, that doesn't mean that we don't try. And just because we fail one day, doesn't mean that we can't try again.
We also see a list of things to avoid in the following verses and verse 4 ends with another thing to do-"giving of thanks".
When we are thankful, we are walking in love! We are showing others our love for them and for God. If you don't already, I highly suggest that you start making a list and/or verbally give thanks for at least three things everyday. It will change you and those around you!
