Thy Testimonies
Psalms 93:1-5 KJV
1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. 4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. 5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

Good Fruit
Matthew 7:15-20 KJV 1
5 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
The nature of Satan is to deceive and he will use people to try to deceive us. We need to be on our guard and keep an eye out for those who try to get us to stray from God's way. How can we know? We need to examine their fruit.
Christ tells us that an evil person can not produce good fruit. It may look good, but it won't be good. We need to make sure that we don't just take their "fruit" at face value, but examine it and see if it continues to produce good fruit.
People can say "good" things, but we need to remember that actions/fruit speak louder than words.

Throw Back Thursday-Garden Time
It's the time of year when those who plant gardens are harvesting. My girls were just saying earlier this week that we haven't had veggie pizza in a while and wondered if we could have it again. That got me thinking to my blog post about the veggie pizza I make as well as a soup using garden goodies. Check it out here!
If I use this recipe again (for the veggie pizza), I will have to adapt it to our current dietary needs. I will probably use coconut sugar instead of evaporated cane juice crystals and a blend of garbanzo bean flour and tapioca starch with guar gum instead of the gluten free flour mix and coconut oil instead of grapeseed oil.
For those who follow Trim Healthy Mama, I just found this recipe and will try it for myself when I make the other for the children.

Which Gate?
Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
In life, we have choices to make. Usually one way is easy and the other more difficult. Most people will choose the easy way; however, that is often the least wise way as well. The best way is often more difficult, but it will lead to greater rewards. We must not just follow the crowd (wide gate), but choose the right way (narrow gate).
I have always wondered if Robert Frost had this scripture in mind when he penned, The Road Not Taken.

Keep A Quiet Heart
I have been reading, Keep A Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot. I have enjoyed everything I have read so far. I have shared a few quotes from the book over the last weeks, but I wanted to share one entry in it's entirety.
