God Knows You

Psalms 139:13-18 KJV
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

God knows you.

God knows you even better than you know yourself.

He create you. He knit you. He was with you from the very beginning when no one else even knew you existed.

Most mothers don't even realize they are pregnant until they are about 3 weeks along. Some may know sooner, but the average is 3 weeks. There have even been mothers who didn't know until they were in labor! Even those children were known by someone that whole time; God knew them!

Not only has God always known you, He has also hand only good thoughts about you. Not only precious thoughts, but so many precious thoughts that you couldn't count them if you tried!

God only desires the best for you. He created you to be someone special and guess what? You are!

For those who I know will ask, this is what I created when
I announced my last pregnancy. Kenna was born 8/17/15.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 14:15
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

Do not believe everything you hear even if it is from an "expert". Do your own research. Find out for yourself. Find your own way and do not simply follow the crowd.

Marriage Moment-Respectful Communication

We've talked about respect and we've talked about communication. Now we will talk about respectful communication.

It is highly important to show respect within your communication. What does that look like?

Look at the person to whom you are talking or listening.

Don't cut him off as he is trying to say something.

Don't force an issue. Sometimes a little space and/or time is needed to obtain clear thinking. However, don't let too much time pass, either.

Keep private things private. Don't go and share private conversations with your friends.

Share your needs or desires as requests and not demands.

Allow difference of opinion. You are your spouse don't have to think alike on everything.

1 Peter 2:17a

Honour all men.

Always With You

Psalms 139:1-12
1 <> O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

There is no where we can go to hide from God. He is always with us. He can always see our actions. He also will always know our deepest thoughts. He even knows what we will say before we say it.

Isn't that wonderful?!

We are never alone!

God is always there guiding us as long as we seek and allow His guidance. He will lead us even if we go far from His path for us; He will gently lead us back to Him.

Do you feel like God isn't with you? If you do, please realize that it is just a feeling. He has never left you! He has always walked along side of you just waiting for you to take His hand and allow Him to lead you on the path He has for you--a better path--the best path!

Maple Coffee Cake

I have a recipe that I have used for years--Economical Coffee Cake. I've used it for so long that I don't even remember where I originally got the recipe. I have adapted it every time we have had a change in diet. First I changed it to use spelt flour, then to gluten free flour, and now to grain free. I've also used a few different types of sweetener and usually changed the butter to coconut oil.

The latest change was to using maple syrup as the sweetener and then we also serve it in a bowl with a little more syrup drizzled on top and some milk.

The latest changes have received the most praise from the family. In the past, they ate it, but it wasn't something they requested. They actually request it now!

Maple Coffee Cake

1 1/2 cups maple syrup
1/2 cup coconut oil
3 eggs
1 cup milk (or whey)
2 1/2 cups garbanzo bean flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour or arrowroot powder
1/2 tbsp xanthan gum
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Mix the coconut oil and maple syrup as best possible. Add egg and milk. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour into a 9x13 pan (stoneware works best). Bake at 375 for approximately 40 minutes.

Word of Wisdom Wednesday

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
God gives us desires. We can hope those desires come to fruition, but if it takes longer than what we expect, it can bring sadness. When it does come to life, it is energizing.
