Treasures in Heaven

Matthew 6:19-21 KJV

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

We often will put more time, money and effort into things that are most important to us.

You can usually figure out what is most important to people by watching what they do with their time and money. Do we want to put emphasis in things of this world that will eventually perish or in something that has eternal value? In my opinion, anything that supports relationship and the of Christ are much more important than things of this world.

I hope that when people look at my life, they can tell that I am working towards treasures in heaven over treasures of this world.
