Proverb for the Day

"An excellent wife is the crown of her husband,
But she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones."
--Proverbs 12:4

I can tell you I would much rather be a crown than cause rottenness in my husband's bones. But what makes an excellent wife, just look at the Hebrew words for "excellent wife". It means "noble woman" and are the same that are used in Proverbs 31:10-31. If you don't know the description of a Proverbs 31 woman, turn there and read about it. If you want to learn more about how to be a Proverbs 31 woman, I would like to suggest a book that is in my recommended reading list, The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace.

May we all strive to be crowns!
